2010 General Election

I have been the Labour Member of Parliament for the area since 1992. I live in the area and have done so since 1993. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted to re-elect me as the MP for Greenwich and Woolwich. See below for the 2010 General Election results in Greenwich and Woolwich.

During the election campaign, I spelt out my commitment to work in the interests of this community and its residents, and I will honour these commitments in the coming years. Despite the outcome of the election nationally, I will continue to campaign for improvements in local public services here in Greenwich as well as necessary investment in regeneration and transport schemes such as getting a Crossrail station in Woolwich, which now appears threatened by cuts on the part of the new government.
